European state aid law
European state aid law is directly applicable as national law in Germany. The beneficiary must determine himself whether he is eligible to state aid or not, otherwise he runs the risk of repayment claims.
However, one should not solely rely on the information provided by the authorities, since there are relevant state aid matters, which are not immediately evident and might pose unexpected issues.
